And Just Like That, Kindlight Was Born

During my IVF journey, I was looking for guided journals to hold the grief, trauma, disappointment, and crushing sadness. Everything I found was either too superficial, too clinical, or totally missing the plot all together. I started to write the journals that I needed. I named them Kindlight because they were shining a kind light on the grief that was so difficult to sit with in silence. Through my practice of writing, I felt compelled to take up painting again after many years. I started an Instagram account to find community and chose the handle @becomingkindlight... because the becoming is everything.
